This was a series of explorations around objects being pulled from the environment they were made in. The hand beaten brass shade found its form from a hollow log end on a beach in which the form was created. Manufacturing limitations forced the introduction of a lo-fi annealing process and subsequent oily textures were introduced by handheld torch to the outside radius allowing the Lilly pad shape to form.
